If you want to have a perfect holiday filled with a mix of adventure, adrenaline, and pure relaxation, you must visit the Maldives! The Maldives is a huge name in the sphere of tropical tourism, but in case you still need some persuading to visit these islands, here’s what exactly makes them special.

Lux resorts

Sure, you can see huge hotels practically anywhere in the world today, but the Maldives value a different type of luxury. Most resorts here are made out of many small villas and bungalows that offer you complete privacy and peace! This type of accommodation is perfect for couples who wish to enjoy each other’s company, but most resorts also cater to families. Everyone is welcome to experience the luxury of the Maldives.

Colorful marine life

One of the first things people imagine when they hear the word the Maldives is crystal clear water and plenty of colorful little fish swimming around. If you also associate these islands with a rich marine life, you’re totally right! The water is perfect for snorkeling and diving practically all year round and filled with soft and hard corals, fish, manta rays and even giant whale sharks!

An inexhaustible source of adrenaline

The main source of fun in the Maldives is aquatic sports. There, you can try everything from sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, big sea fishing, kitesurfing, surfing and jet skiing. Young kids can also get a taste of adventure by taking a ride on a glass-bottom boat and see the little fish swimming below their feet!

Great food

Resort food is ready diverse, but if you want to really taste the Maldives, you must go local. Try their snack foods like bis keemiya (Maldivian spring rolls) or opt for something sweet like saagu bondibai (sago pudding made of coconut milk, cardamom, and rose).

Vibrant city life

Many holiday-goers don’t even step off their resort island, but that’s a big mistake. Make sure to visit Malé, the largest and most urban city in the Maldives. While there, don’t miss the chance to see Malé Fish Market in the morning and witness fishmongers bargaining for the fresh tuna or seashells.

No relaxation, like Maldives relaxation

Sure, the Maldives is full of different excitements, but one of the best things to do there is just relaxing and unwind! Make sure to check with your experienced Maldives travel agent and book one of those over-the-water bungalows. These are not just more private and peaceful, but also allow you to wake up with an amazing view and have a morning swim right from your bed! They also have a private deck for sunbathing, enjoying drinks, having a snack or just taking a light nap—perfect for lazy days!

Plenty of partying

If you love to party, the Maldives can offer that as well. Many internationally-famous DJs come to spin there and create amazing parties that last for days! For something more traditional, visit inhabited islands for Boduberu, a traditional Maldivian dance, singing, and drumming!

Plenty of pampering

After a banging party, you must relax your body and mind. Luckily, you can always book a nice pampering treatment (solo or with your partner). Your skilled masseurs will rub away all the stress, tension and pain from your body and get you ready to tackle the next day in paradise!

Romance is in the air

The Maldives is one of the most romantic destinations, which makes them perfect for honeymoons and anniversaries. You’ll get to enjoy total privacy and peace and really aim all your attention towards your loved one.

Are you convinced now that you must visit the Maldives? Good! So, grab your bags and get ready for a vacation of your life!
